Before the launch of Machine Learning and Augmented Reality features on iPhone, Apple Australia organised an event to showcase these technologies to local industry partners. Apple approached members of our team with a challenge to create a solution that would allow them to showcase the new features in a way that was engaging, educational and fun.
We wanted to create an experience that would surprise and delight the attendees. The solution was initially designed to look like a standard event app that was useful by providing event information such as speakers, event times, facilities and information on the new technologies. However, under the cover of this rather non-descript app a unknown delight was waiting.
At a specific moment in the announcement of the new technologies, to the delight and surprise of its users, the app burst to life with a new design, animations, videos, and a number of interactive games. Users could personalise their app and compete with each other via leaderboards.
The unexpected change generated excitement and people rushed to use the AR & ML tech to interact with the event, their environment and others.
It allowed partners to be educated and understand the new technologies in a fun and interactive way, generating excitement in how it could be used in their verticals.
PS - As its Apple, of course we cannot show any screens :(
The majority of Samsung customer products are sold via third party vendors which meant Samsung had little to no control over the customer sales experience. Sometimes this experience was not on par with the brand quality expectations, citing lack of product knowledge being the major challenge.
Samsung wanted solutions on how to increase 3rd party sales people engagement with the Samsung brand to improve their knowledge and the customer sales experience.
We wanted to get to a place where sales people wanted to actively seek and learn about product information. To get there we experimented with a gamification and rewards based system. This resulted in the creation of an application, titled Samsung+, that presented the user with product information in a e-learning type format.
Quizzes and games earned the user points and badges. Points could be converted via an air-miles like system for physical Samsung products such as tablets and phones.
As the program grew successful, introduced individual and team based leaderboards, the ability to recognise product specialists which earned bonus points, the ability to gift points.
In the end forums and messaging grew a community of learners that was so successful the idea was transferred to Samsung HQ for global release.
The market leaders in all things insulation in Australia, (they are insulation.com.au after all), Fletchers approached Pixel Agency to aid them in the rebranding and redevelopment of their online presence.
Working in conjunction with Fletcher’s branding partner SixTwo, we shaped the brand's online presence. What followed was a stunning revamp in Fletcher’s brand and website, providing a striking and unique look in the industry, while at the same time providing trust and confidence in Fletcher’s expertise and quality.
The rebrand was a successful complete rebuild of the existing website and migration of data onto the new platform.
Holmesglen Institute needed a way to connect local businesses struggling with finding employees with graduating students looking to enter employment.
The students may have learning challenges and are an untapped source of great employees.
An online portal that provides a personalised matching service.
A personalised experience where Holmesglen, via the portal constructs a candidate profile with the student, providing their skills and interests.
Employers inform the TAFE what their employment needs are. Holmesglen then match suitable candidates to the opportunity and provide employers with links to suitable candidate profiles.
AusPost had a legacy system in use in post offices terminals that allowed staff to service customers requests. This software was over twenty years old, slow to respond, and frequently went offline.
As a result of this, post offices were seeing continued drops in their KPIs for the length of queue times for customers.
While a multi-million dollar, years long, replacement system was being built we were engaged to identify quick wins and help post offices improve their customer facing KPIs
The solution consisted of a mobile responsive app and site that allowed staff to quickly report customer issues, and take customer orders.
What started as a quick, temporary solution while the company was implementing the replacement system, became so successful that it caused the business to reassess the system it was a stop gap for and expand the remit of the app.
The apps’ scope expanded beyond post office staff to other AusPost employees in diverse roles. Additional features and functionality such as parcel tracking, property damage reporting, and escalations were added, empowering staff and helped staff meet the original KPIs and more.
Mercedes Australia performed a review of their dealerships, focusing on the customer experience, the outcome of which was a number of issues that needed addressing.
A three-fold solution to tackle each issue, all served in a high-quality, interactive, customer facing app:
